assalamu alaikum, this is 100 percent proof that the fundamental beleif of Christians is false. these verse of the Bible proof that good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell and salvation is from repentance
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Hi, Any quote from the Bible that you use to create a full teaching must also take into account the other parts of the Bible. The fact that Ezekiel mentions that a person will die for his own sin is not a new one. Deuteronomy 24 v 16 Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.
ReplyDeleteYou can see that this is an old concept. However, in the other parts of the law it also talks about atonement. Leviticus 3-6 talks about sacrifice because of the uncleaness of sin, also in chapter 16 there is mention of the day of atonement during which all the sins of the people are symbolically laid upon a live goat and led out of the city, while another goat is slain for atonement. The Jewish law given by God demands a sacrifice for the cleansing of a person. Ezekiel does not remove this requirement but rather focuses on the hearts of the people. Of course they should repent and do good part of that would be to offer the sacrifices appropriate for cleansing.
Jesus told people to repent, Christians tell people to repent. However, simply repenting does not make us clean before God. The sacrifice was provided by God, Jesus died to cleanse us from the guilt of sin. He stands as our proxy, because before God we are guilty and cannot remove our own guilt. The Christian message is the fulfillment of the Law through Jesus. One sacrifice for all time bringing us a cleansing that is permanent.
